Our Ethos
A small family run farm, everything we do at Nant Helyg is driven by a passion for the environment and ecological sustainability. Working manually, we produce naturally and seasonally, without reliance on the grid, maintaining a minimal carbon foot print.
Whilst not organic certified, our practices reflect the standards required for such. We grow without the use of herbicides, pesticides or synthetic fertilisers; manually planting, tending and harvesting. Any inputs that might be required meet organic standards. Everything is sensitively done with as light a touch as possible, kept as natural as possible and unequivocally always mindful of protecting our environment - keeping an ever-watchful eye on our soil health, supporting habitat and wildlife diversity.
In this way we can bring you the highest quality produce that's packed full of flavour and goodness, with minimal environmental impact.

Our Garlic
We offer a wide range of quality garlics, each with their own unique flavour. Our aim is to provide you with sustainable and seasonally available garlics: green garlic, wet and cured garlic, scapes, and wild garlic, each providing a depth of flavour to every dish that far surpasses much of what's available on the market today. Each and every one of our garlics is planted, tended, harvested and hung by hand to cure naturally - no synthetic fertilisers, pesticides or herbicides. As a result our garlics are juicy and packed full of flavour, as garlic should be. Our approach might not be the easiest, it is most certainly time consuming, but the quality of our garlic makes all our efforts unequivocally worthwhile. We believe the quality and flavour of our garlics to be exceptional - we think you will to!
Eggs from Free to Fly Quail
Living the most natural life we can enable safely, these beautiful little birds thrive in small numbers in large outdoor aviaries with plenty of natural habitat and only natural daylight. They are fed organically certified product, enjoy greens and berries from our fields and catch their own insect snacks! It is time consuming but by working to keep a stress free flock, we ensure healthier happy birds and use only natural products to maintain their health and wellbeing.
Our quail are free to roam, nest and fly and only lay seasonally - nothing is forced. As a result of this extra care and attention, we believe our little quails produce exceptionally delicious healthy eggs!
