The flowering stalks of our hard neck garlics. When cooked they taste like a cross between asparagus and garlic. Fresh, they'll give you an early garlic fix, slightly peppery. Pesto, hot and cold salads, tempura battered or add to pasta dishes: they stand alone as a "vegetable" worthy of their own dish.
